About Mentions
See which sources AI engines use, and how often they mention and cite you.

Mentions shows where AI answers get their information. You can see how often you're mentioned and cited over time, how that differs by AI engine, and exactly which websites and pages AI relies on for your prompts.
Why it matters
AI engines build answers from sources they trust. If you know which sources those are, you know where to show up: your own pages, review sites, communities, publications. Mentions turns every AI answer into a map of those sources.
How it works
For every answer to your tracked prompts, we record whether your brand is mentioned and which sources the answer cites. Each source is labelled by type, such as Reddit, blog post or product page, so you can see what kind of content AI prefers.
What's on the page
Mentions & Citations
A daily chart you can switch between:
- Mentions: daily brand mentions across AI answers
- Citations: daily citations of your domain across AI answers
Performance by Platform
Mentions, citations and average position for each AI engine, so you can see where you're strong and where you're missing. The summary at the top averages across engines.
Position distribution
Every source that appeared in AI answers. Switch between Domains (whole websites) and URLs (individual pages), and search by address or type.

Turn a source into content
In the URLs view, you can act on a source straight away:
- For Reddit threads, YouTube videos, LinkedIn posts and Instagram reels, click Generate social content to draft a reply or post. See About Social Content.
- For other pages, create an article based on that source. See About Articles.

FAQ
Why is my site cited often but rarely mentioned? AI may use your pages for facts without recommending you. See Why is my visibility low even though my website is cited a lot?
Why is Avg. Citation sometimes more than 1? One answer can cite the same source several times. Used is different: it's the share of answers a source appears in, so it's never more than 100%.
Why am I seeing sources that seem unrelated? AI engines sometimes cite broad or loosely related pages. Filter by topic or prompt to focus on the sources that matter for a specific question.
